Our Makhana journey begins in the serene ponds of Bihar, where dedicated farmers cultivate this ancient superfood with passion and precision.

In the lush landscapes of Bihar, farmers have transformed their livelihoods through Makhana cultivation. Once dependent on rice farming, farmers now thrives by growing Makhana, earning significantly more per hectare and contributing to the local economy

Makhana farming is an eco-friendly endeavor. Farmers preparenur series in January-February, transplanting seedlings after 45–60 days. They plant Makhana at a distance of 1 meter, ensuring optimal growth. The crop thrives in waterlogged conditions, with flowers blooming two months post-transplantation and seeds maturing in late September or October.
